Disjoint is a Discord Activity built with Phaser and React by Grayhat Developers. It gives a Discord server a shared 2D space where members walk around as avatars, gather in themed rooms, and start conversations just by moving close to someone, the kind of spontaneous presence that a list of text channels never quite manages to recreate.
How Disjoint Works Inside Discord
1. Add Disjoint to your server. One click authorizes the Discord Activity. No accounts to create, nothing for members to install.
2. Open the activity. Launch Disjoint from any voice channel. Everyone drops into the shared space as a movable avatar.
3. Walk around and connect. Move toward people to start talking, wander into rooms, and let conversations happen the way they would in person.
What You Can Do in Disjoint
- Custom avatars — pick a character and move through the space, so presence is visible without pinging anyone
- Themed rooms — lounges, game corners, stages and quiet desks, built into a floor plan that matches how the community actually hangs out
- Shove — bump into someone and shove their avatar across the room, a physical, goofy moment chat channels never allowed
- Real-time multiplayer — everyone moves and reacts live on a low-latency server
- Chat and emoji sync — messages sent inside Disjoint sync straight to Discord channels, with quick emoji reactions for in-the-moment responses
Because it runs as a native Discord Activity, Disjoint uses a server's existing roles, channels, and members. There is nothing new to download and no separate login or subscription to manage.
Who Disjoint Is For
Gaming communities use it as a hangout between matches, where movement and proximity make large servers feel personal again.
