js13kGames is a JavaScript coding competition for Web Game Developers running yearly since 2012. It takes the idea of "constraints lead to creative solutions" to the extreme by requiring developers to fit their web game in a zip file size limit of just 13 kilobytes!
This year, Phaser is sponsoring the event by offering five yearly subscriptions (two Professional licenses and three Developer licenses), worth almost $1300, as prizes!
In addition to providing prize support, our very own Richard Davey, founder and CTO of Phaser Studio Inc, will also lend his knowledge and expertise by serving on this year's panel of experts!
The competition will start at 13:00 CEST, 13th August and end at 13:00 CEST, 13th September 2024. Theme will be announced on August 13th.
In case you aren't convinced that it's possible to fit a game into the strict size limit, have a look at last year's entries and prepare to be amazed!
