Konkr is a turn-based strategy game by Michal Bureš. Inspired by the brilliant simplicity of Sean O’Connor’s “Slay”, this game aspires to be a love letter to the concept of “easy to learn, hard to master”.
Konkr is designed to be as simple, fast and intuitive to play as possible, but still provide a deeply strategic, almost chess-like experience, where every decision matters.
Expand your territory and eliminate rivals by managing:
- Provinces and Towns: Provinces are clusters of connected green tiles with towns, and controlling them is key to earning income.
- Economy and Income: Provinces generate income based on their size, which is spent on unit upkeep, building castles, or saving in the treasury.
- Combat and Conquest: Attacks succeed when the attacker's strength exceeds the defender's, allowing players to capture territory.
- Politics and Alliances: Opponents act like real players, forming alliances and betrayals, requiring constant caution.
- Bandits: Unpaid units become bandits that steal income and can eventually form dangerous bandit camps if left unchecked.
