Txtaria is an awesome experience. It’s a platformer where you need to collect money to advance to the next level. But the hook is that the graphics are all made in ASCII art. What is ASCII art? ASCII is a standard of character encoding, basically it defines what characters a computer is able to display. ASCII art is when you use those characters to create art!
Txtaria is a great representation of that. Everything is in ASCII art! The character, the backgrounds, the enemies, etc. Half of the fun is discovering what cool art the next level will bring.
There is also a Return of the Obra Dinn style palette switch, where you can change the colors of the text, to add even more variety.
