As the game starts, its young hero Taro encounters a white fox, who’s blindfolded and, thanks to some unknown curse, chained to an empty rice wine barrel. Determined to find his missing friends, Taro agrees to carry the barrel for the fox, and sets off on his side-scrolling adventure.
The developers, Shoga9Team, have created their take on the platform genre, steeped in Japanese folklore.
Whatever you do, make sure you collect the axe from the tree at the start (and the hammer), and then use WASD to throw those items at the baddies that attack you. You really won't get far if you don't.
Although we covered this game a few years ago, the latest release contains several enhancements, gamepad controls and works well on Android Devices, available from Google Play.
