Auth Troubleshooting
Hey, sorry for the sign-in trouble with Phaser Launcher! Modern software, including ours, often uses OAuth, a secure method to confirm your identity without sharing passwords. It’s designed to protect your account, but can be finicky if certain network settings get in the way.
Try these steps:
- Check Network & VPN: Some networks or VPNs might block local traffic. If possible, turn off your VPN or switch networks.
- Allow Port 1970: Our local auth server runs on
http://localhost:1970. Confirm your firewall or security software isn’t blocking that port. - Whitelist Phaser Launcher: If you’re on a work or secured network, add Phaser Launcher and its auth domain to any allowlist.
- Clear Cache & Cookies: Old data can cause login errors. Clearing them often fixes things.
- Sync Your Clock: OAuth can fail if your system time is off. Double-check your computer’s date and time.
- Restart & Try Again: A quick reboot of your machine or router can clear temporary glitches.
