I thought Phaser was free and open-source?

It is and it always will be. However, Phaser Editor is a commercial product built to create games powered by the open-source Phaser game framework.

Is there a trial version?

We do not provide a free trial. Feel free to ask us any questions, watch some of hundreds of hours of tutorials on YouTube, or try a one month licence.

Will Phaser Editor stop working if my licence expires?

Yes. Phaser Editor requires an active licence or subscription. However, any games you created while using Phaser Editor will still work. Games are not linked to the licence. You can also transfer your project files to VS Code.

What are the add-ons?

Priority Technical Support gives you direct email access to the Phaser development team, plus the option to purchase one-on-one sessions. The Playable Ads Template License provides project templates for all major ad networks and access to Phaser Compressor. You can add either or both to any licence duration.

What is the difference between on-going and a fixed licence?

An on-going subscription renews automatically — you can choose monthly or yearly billing. A fixed licence is a one-time payment for 1, 3, or 6 months with no auto-renewal. Both give you access to the same features. You can cancel an on-going subscription at any time.

Can I transfer my licence to someone else?

Yes! You can transfer any active licence or subscription to another registered Phaser user from your account page. You can also revoke the transfer at any time. It’s completely free.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes! You can cancel directly from your account page, or via the Stripe site. Your access continues until the end of the billing period. We do not issue pro-rata refunds.
