Attend this workshop on Thursday, January 22, 2015:

"Introduction to HTML5 and Phaser.io by Andrew Smith, Director of Developer Education, AgeCheq

Many programmers are also parents of kids. A lot of these kids are aspiring programmers themselves. Invite your kids, because this meetup will focus on teaching younger programmers how to get started writing simple games using JavaScript and HTML5.

After a brief introduction to JavaScript and HTML5, we’ll use Phaser to customize a sample game. That way, kids can experiment with coding themselves. Be sure to bring your laptops so you can try things out right on your own system. Many of our members are very new to web development, so the introductory nature of this talk is perfect for that as well, and you'll learn about Phaser: the great game framework for the web!

For those who have children who are interested in programming and engineering, bring them along and we’ll have a whole lot of fun."
