Codecademy have just published their first two tutorials for Phaser 3. These two lessons (Learn Phaser: Basics and Learn Phaser: Physics) cover basic Phaser game setup, creation of Phaser graphics primitives and sprites, and adding in functionality with event handlers.

The series so far walks the learner through making four games, two available for free users and two as projects for paid Codecademy subscribers, with more planned for the future. The lessons take place within the Codecademy environment, with no setup or installation required, just code directly into your browser and view the results.

Codecademy is one of the largest online training sites with over 45 million learners, so it's great to have Phaser featured like this. The courses are delivered with the usual flair and professionalism of all Codecademy content and it's exciting to think this could bring many new developers into web game dev.
