CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars was created by ZeptoLab, the makers of the classic mobile game Cut the Rope and hit the app stores back in 2017. In CATS you collect toolboxes full of spare parts and then combine and assemble them into the ultimate combat robot. This is then unleashed into the arena in all-out PvP fights, the aim being to dominate the leaderboards and progress to the next stage of the World Championships.

In a world where cats rule everything, you play as an ambitious kitten who's dreaming of becoming the best engineer of battle cars in the world. Your shady, yet charismatic uncle Tony rolled you into the car battles Championship. Beat all 24 stages to get into the finals and become the world champion!

The battles are automatic, you don't control them, you just sit back and watch to see if your creation was successful or not against your opponent. It's like a game version of the TV show Robot Wars, only with cats, and some crazy physics driven outcomes.

The mobile app was a phenomenal success, with over 100 million players and is still going strong. So it was a no-brainer for them to bring it to Facebook Instant Games. All the core traits of the original are there, including the toolboxes, weapon combos, fun battles and of course competing against your friends, or other players, to dominate the leaderboards.

The effects are lovely, with all the explosions, particles and glitz that you'd expect in a title of this pedigree. The UI is wonderfully easy to use, clearly having benefited from lots of research and testing with the mobile version and, most importantly of all it's just a really fun game.
