Given that it's valentines day today, I figured it would be fun to highlight two slightly different projects. The first is a video from Lighthouse Labs Toronto. In the video you can see a round of web dev students giving their presentations, including a pretty cool looking Phaser game - the culmination of which is a marriage proposal :)

And the second one is the fully playable Mario game Super Segredario, created by Mauro George for his (then) girlfriend, Jessica, to play. Taking control of Princess Peach you run across the first Mario level, interacting with the characters as you go. The text is all in Portuguese but is easily translatable.

The game ends in the castle, as the pixelated Mauro proposes and hands over a ring. We can only assume that at this point when playing the game, Mauro proposed to his girlfriend for real, because he later told us she accepted :)

Whatever you may think of valentines day, both of these are sweet and creative uses of Phaser for something just a little special.
