Sculpted cumulus

Pro packv3.0.0-42D and 3DBackdrop

A painted cumulus sky in one layer: a towering cloud over a low bank, with bright sunlit rims and blue shadows. It reads as clouds with real edges rather than noise, and it paints its own sky behind them.

Sculpted cumulus: a screenshot of its demo
A note about these graphics

Expansion packs don't come with graphics. This screenshot is one way of drawing what the pack does, made for its demo: none of the sprites, tiles or backgrounds in it are in the pack.

That's by design. A pack is a game's logic, mechanics and effects, and it works with whatever art you give it. Some packs draw effects, backdrops or 3D scenes of their own, but none carries a game's sprites.

So the look is yours. Make the art on phaser.io, bring your own, or let your agent draw it in code: the same pack can look like anything.

The pack

backdropClouds

function backdropClouds(): Pack<Record<string, never>>

Backdrop clouds: a painted cumulus cloudscape — a lobed tower over a bank, with sunlit rims and blue self-shadowing. Requires backdrops. Params towerX, towerHeight, bankHeight, coverage, detail, contrast, light and speed; colours skyTop and skyBottom.

ONE DENSE LAYER, not a stack of translucent slices: a painted sky reads as crisp shapes with real edges, and slices read as haze. The tower is twenty overlapping lobes whose silhouettes are warped by their own noise; the light is the same noise sampled a step toward the sun, which is what puts a hard rim on the sunward face for the price of one more lookup.
