We are currently on the hunt for an experienced Games Developer to join a large work package for one of our leading broadcasting clients. They are specifically looking for web based games developers – HTML5, JS, CSS3, Canvas etc to join an embedded team as part of their overall Children’s Workflow Team, redeveloping a number of existing games from scratch using modern frameworks - Phaser / PixiJS in particular.

Based out of their tech hub in Manchester, the impact of these games will be massive! You will be working with a dedicated team across a number of globally loved children’s brands to deliver a number of unique games and digital experiences, aimed at inspiring, educating and entertaining young children across the UK and the World! In order to continually achieve this goal, the team are further developing their mobile, tablet and desktop experiences from the ground up, with a real “user first” approach that is sometimes missing from larger organisations of this nature!

The initial engagement will be for 6 months, but the work pipelined for this team is ever growing, so there is a high likelihood of extension. We have proposed to the team, getting at least Two Developers in before the end of the month, so if you are coming to the end of your current engagement, it would still be worth getting in touch!

How many of the below can you tick off? ...

• Experienced Games Developer, specifically with HTML5 & JavaScript
• Experience with either Phaser and/or Pixi.js
• TDD, BDD & GHUnit
• Deploying production level code in a CI environment
• Experience in identifying, debugging and resolving complex production issues

Bonus Points if you have worked with / on:

• WebGL
• PlayCanavas
• Games aimed at a younger audience previously
